This Privacy Policy describes how Grocery List (the “App”) by Jairo Real ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App. This policy applies only to information collected by the App and does not cover other apps, websites, or services you may use.
Local data (on-device): The App stores your grocery items and preferences locally on your device using the app's local storage (user:// storage). This includes:
No personal data collection by default: The App does not collect or transmit personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, or contacts to our servers.
We use the locally stored information only to provide the app’s core functionality: saving and loading your grocery items and their checked state. The App does not upload this data to any remote server by default.
The App does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or cloud storage services by default.
The App requests the minimum permissions required to operate. It does not require special permissions such as contacts, SMS, or location. If you add features that require permissions (e.g., optional cloud backup requiring network access), those will be requested at runtime and documented here.
Data stored locally in the App remains on the device until you delete it via the app UI or uninstall the App. We do not retain copies of your grocery items on our servers.
You can remove items individually using the delete button inside the App. To completely reset stored data, uninstalling the App or clearing the app data from your device settings will remove all locally stored information.
We follow reasonable practices to protect local data on the device. However, no method of storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of data stored on a user’s device.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us to request deletion.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy in the App’s privacy policy URL and update the effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
